Lesotho

The “Roof“ of Southern Africa - Lesotho: This kingdom is entirely surrounded by the Republic of South Africa and mainly attracts visitors by its rugged, mountainous landscape. The summits of the Drakensberg Mountains reach up to 3500m! Not even one square meter of this country is below 1.400m above sea level. Lesotho is only at the beginning of developing as a tourism destination and the infrastructure is mainly rural. Therefore Lesotho is the ideal destination for the South African adventure-seeking visitor: horse-riding, off road-trails and hiking with local herdsmen – everything is possible when you travel in Lesotho! Vast areas of the country consist of pristine mountain ranges and isolated villages. Many of them can only be accessed by 4×4 vehicles. The contrary to this rural beauty is the capital Maseru where the king’s palace as well as several international hotels and restaurants can be found.
Botswana

Animal Kingdom of the Okavango Delta – Botswana: This country attracts visitors with its pristine wilderness areas and the most famous inland wetlands of Africa, the Okavango Delta. This oasis – completely surrounded by dry land has been a magnet for all forms of wildlife and is the country’s largest and best equipped tourist venue. This vast area of rivers, swamps and islands is best accessed by canoes or by air to explore the variety of wildlife in a setting unique in the world. Several exclusive lodges and camps offer close-up South African wildlife experiences. Furthermore some of the most beautiful national parks of Southern Africa can be found in Botswana: the Chobe National Park, for example, is home to the largest elephant population in Africa! Botswana’s capital Gaborone is famous for luxury hotels, casinos and an attractive nightlife.
Namibia

Land of Deserts, Colours and Light – Namibia: At first Namibia appears as a country of deserts, dunes and barren landscapes. Once you travel to Namibia, the visitor is greatly impressed by the various facets and unique beauty, with contrasts of water and sand, farmland and desert, cities and wilderness. The country is proud of its colorful history, plentiful animal wildlife and attractive landscapes. Throughout the former German colony “Deutsch-Süd-West” – now called Namibia – you can find German roots: street names, restaurants and buildings remind of the history this country experienced. A visit of some of the world’s highest dunes in the Namib Desert is a “must” as well as a safari in the world-famous Etosha National Park. Descendants of German and British settlers, as well as Himbas and Hereros; a diverse population of different cultures welcomes you to holiday in Namibia!
Swaziland

Charming little Kingdom - Swaziland: This kingdom covers only 17.400 square kilometers and is almost entirely surrounded by South Africa. It only borders Mozambique in the East. The second smallest African country under leadership of King Mswati III impresses the visitor with plenty of attractions and traditions, e.g. the annual reed dances celebrated by young girls to honor the King. Endless ranges of hills shape this Kingdom, situated between Kruger National Park and KwaZulu-Natal. Old traditions are still alive at many colorful street markets and little villages in the Ezulwini Valley near the capital of Mbabane. Numerous nature reserves in Swaziland and African game parks offer a wide variety of outdoor activities and game viewing.
